About Me

High School

Victoria Memorial Hall, Calcutta, India I was born in India, in Kolkata, where the river Ganges meets the sea. The weather is like Miami, but instead of hurricanes we had the monsoons. Four whole months of it!

College

IIT Roorkee, India After graduating from Calcutta Boys' School, my high school, I went to study Mechanical Engineering at IIT Roorkee, formerly University of Roorkee, about two thousand miles from home, in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Work

Taj Mahal, Agra, India I am a Software Engineer by profession and I'm one of the lucky few who gets paid for doing what they like!

My first job was in Pune, India. Two thousand miles from school and home! Wow, is India big! I was working in CAD/CAM in the largest automobile manufacturing company in India, Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company.

Coming to America

Statue of Liberty, New York, USA My American Journey began when I started working at IBM in Kansas City, Kansas. After enjoying the Mid-West, I started consulting and moved on to Miami, Florida, to work at Ryder Dedicated Logistics, and after that in Fairfield, Connecticut, with MECA Software.

After pursuing my dreams at Andersen in sunny Sarasota, Florida for about four years, I decided to take on newer challenges.

I worked at SoftPros Inc. and their sister company World Online Inc. for a year during the dot com boom and then started my own software consulting firm.

I specialize in streamlining software development to help my clients save time and work more efficiently. Mostly I work as a part of the team as a technical architect, coach and mentor.

Newsflash! Since April 2002, I've joined one of my clients, Surgical Information Systems, as a full time employee. I already knew most of the people while consulting there and I'm having a great time.
